What We Believe
We believe that love one for another as Jesus loves; manifests our discipleship, proves our love for God. Love is the great commandment of the Lord Jesus Christ upon which all others are dependent
We believe the Bible is the Word of God, and that it is inspired in its original 66 articles. We are aware that there are many English translations of the scripture available today. Each Translation has a varied philosophy on how that translation was accomplished, with varying degrees of scholarship within each translation/version. To help foster unity as a Church in our public worship we teach and preach from the King James Version of the Bible.
We believe in the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the virgin birth and sinless humanity of Jesus Christ
We believe that humans were created in the image of God and lived innocent until Adam fell by voluntary transgression, the result being that all humans are sinners
We believe that the suffering and death of Jesus Christ was substitutionary for all humanity and saves those who believe. We believe in the bodily resurrection and ascension of Christ and the bodily resurrection of His saints.
We believe that the sinner is saved wholly by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and that the Holy Spirit convicts sinners, regenerates, seals, secures, and indwells every believer
We believe the church began with the calling out of the twelve apostles by Jesus Christ and was empowered on the day of Pentecost. We believe the local church is composed of members who have been saved and baptized according to the command of Christ and have voluntarily united together for the purposes of worship, fellowship, and service.
We believe that there are two ordinances in the Lord’s church: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism is by immersion and is in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is for all people who have believed in Jesus Christ as Savior and confessed the Faith. The Lord’s Supper/Communion is for the Church and should be observed by the church in remembrance of Him.
We believe that there are two church offices. The office of Pastor and the office of Deacon, those who are put into these offices should exemplify the qualifications set forth in Titus and 1 Timothy.
